Executive Summary
Our customer is an organization working on biotechnology research domain. Our customer conducts experiments for drug research.
Since customer had a manual model which was time consuming and also customer had to customize data every time to carry out analysis. ennovate team was engaged to develop a web based application to automate drug research experiments and standardize data based on industry model.
Prior to development of this product there was no approach to automate drug research experiment. We provided a proof of concept to simulate drug research experiment using computer.
ennovate team delivered a web application with rich flash graphical editor for genome model building.

- Requirements were not defined by customer
- Data format was not documented by customer
The Solution
- Since requirements were not defined so ennovate team derived requirements by exploring similar product. Team explored Cell Designer for requirement reference. At the same time team also referred Wikipedia, NCBI, Tata McGraw tutorial etc to gain the required knowledge to develop a model.
- Since product required lots of data retrieval from third party and data format wasn’t documented anywhere so ennovate team understood third party data format by analyzing many examples data sets. To solve the problem, ennovate team proposed model data to be saved in industry-wide-accepted SBML ((Systems Biology Markup Language) file. As a result, ennovate was able to deliver a web application with rich flash graphical editor for model building which allowed
- Conversion of SMBL files to simulation engine specific format
- Provision for changes in the model and re-run simulation
- Support for multiple simulation engine
- We provide a good proof of concept within timeline
